25/01/24 - 17/02/24
Opening Wednesday 24th January 5:30pm
Yeah-yeah, oh-woah-oh. Baby, I need to know-oh II, is a collection of images that represent time, love, change, locations, observations and idols. It is the child of Yeah-yeah, oh-woah-oh. Baby, I need to know-oh, when the original banner was shown on the fence of the Fulton Hogan Rongotai Depot. This show commemorates just over a year since Yeah-yeah, oh-woah-oh. Baby, I need to know-oh was on that fence.
Yeah-yeah, oh-woah-oh. Baby, I need to know-oh II, invites you to take a look at the real world and imagine what it would be like... To be there...
Millie Dunstall, born 2000, is an artist from Waihī. Currently based in Te Whanganui a Tara, she is interested in transient spaces, pop culture, social media and the urban environment. Branding, tagging, and promotions that cover living cityscapes -as well as online forums- inspire her processes, informing the symbols and mediums she uses. She has recently become obsessed with the idea of celebrity status and the potentiality of using viral content in her practice.
Millie completed a BFA (Hons) in 2021, graduating from Massey University Toi Rauwharangi. Yeah-yeah, oh-woah-oh. Baby, I need to know-oh II, is her first solo show.
