TOWARDS THE SUN
Angel C. Fitzgerald
23/10/21 - 13/11/21

“TOWARDS THE SUN was roughly based on a collection of writing and drawings I did in 2020 titled Tilt Towards the Sun. The writing was done over a period of quite intense change and transformation. I felt like the foundations I stood on had collapsed.” - Angel

“Tilt Towards the Sun, a book that simultaneously tore my heart out and promised me a new one. There’s a constant back and forth throughout the book, switching between violence and peace. Flowers and fire. Rain and glass. It’s a book promising sun after it rains.” - Fred Small

“Through this film I thought about hope, coming out the other side. Acknowledging that moment, and moving through it. Looking back, looking forward. Coming to grips with beauty and terror.

faith - doubt,

pain - pleasure,

love - heartbreak.

Contrast brings clarity.” - Angel
