Ed Bats is a self proclaimed painter, sculptor and installation artist. His place of birth and current whereabouts are largely speculative. It is rumoured that some people like his work and others don’t. Recent projects include: The State of It, Gallery 9, Sydney, 2019; Speed Dating (w/ Tyler Jackson), play_station, Wellington, 2018; Open Eye Signal, Fort Delta, Melbourne, 2018; Insert Disc 2, Parlour Projects, Hastings, 2018 & Old Bak Ache, State Gallery, Auckland, 2017.

Natalie Guy is an Auckland-based artist who is currently studying for DocFA at Elam. She makes objects as artworks and many of these objects mine or manipulates pre-existing imagery from art and history. These references may respond to historical style cues and sites including architectural interiors and exteriors and also specific figures; artists, architects and designers - usually late-era modernists. The intent is to transform and destabilise a straightforward reading of the source and the new work. Recent projects include The Pool, Waiheke Sculpture in the Gulf, Auckland, 2019; Pool Party, Fox Jensen McCrory, Auckland 2019; Modern with a petit m, Hastings City Gallery, 2018 & Then and Then Again at Malcolm Smith Gallery, Auckland 2018.

Tyler Jackson is a Wellington/Te Whanganui-a-Tara based emerging artist, curator and co-founded play_station ARI. He graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts with first class honours from Massey University in 2016. During his study, Jackson was the recipient of the NZ Art Show’s R T Nelson NZ Emerging Artist award. Tyler’s practice explores the idea of seeing light and space and the aesthetic intrinsic relationship between industrial minimalist materiality versus the immateriality of light and colour. Recent projects include: Nikau Hindin, Salome Tanuvasa, Sam Kelly, Tyler Jackson, Millers O’Brien, Wellington, 2019; Courtship (w/ Robbie Handcock), Auckland Art Fair, 2019; Modulating Monolith, Waiheke Sculpture on the Gulf, Auckland; Speed Dating (with Ed Bats), play_station, Wellington, 2018 & Between the beach and the lounge, Biquini Wax EPS, Mexico City, 2018.

Eloise Kirk is an Australian emerging artist currently living and working in Hobart, Tasmania. Graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts with first class honours, subsequently completing a Masters of Fine Arts with an Australian Postgraduate Award at Sydney College of the Arts in 2013. Eloise is currently the recipient of SHOTGUN8, a personalised mentorship program funded by Contemporary Art Tasmania, MONA and Detached, Hobart. Recent exhibitions include: Northlands (w/ The Curated Shelf), HOBIENNALE, Hobart, 2017; World Material, Darren Knight Gallery, Sydney, 2017; Third Order Island, Gallery 9, Sydney, 2017; Black Smoker, Contemporary Arts Tasmania, Project Space, Hobart, 2016 & Smoke Follows Beauty, Bus Projects, Melbourne, 2015. Eloise has also been generously supported by the Australian Arts Council / Australian Government.

Kirsty McNeil is an installation artist using sculpture and image-making, based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. Kirsty holds a BA(Hons) in English and Humanities from the University of London and after returning to Aotearoa, New Zealand, graduated with a BFA(Hons), in 2016 and MFA with first-class honours, in 2017, from Elam School of Fine Arts where she is currently a DocFA candidate. Kirsty's practice explores the conditions of sculpture with a particular research interest in the spatial and temporal elements of urban environments. Recent shows include: I Lean You My Support (w/ Java Bentley and Robyn Walton), Rm Gallery, Auckland, 2019; ...the place where it happens to be, Elam's Projectspace Gallery, Auckland 2019; Getting Around Town, Auckland Art Fair, 2018 & Until the Petrol Runs Out, (w/ Kimberly Annan), Whau Arts Festival, Avondale, Auckland 2018.
