Unequivocal Sentience is a performative response to how we interact with the biology on our planet. The response touches on a hypothetical thought that as a modern society we’re progressing culturally towards mass urbanisation and how this progression will impact how we interact with our earth.
Jack Jenkins is a Wellington based performing artist/dancer and performance facilitator at play_station. Graduated at the New Zealand School of Dance in 2018 from the contemporary dance program, Jack has been involved with the school’s performance work and own composed dance work ‘Continuity in Disruption’ in the school’s choreographic season ‘STOA’. Other projects include dancing for Eliza Sanders in the NZ Fringe Festival work ‘Fear of Eggs’ and performing a solo piece for play_station’s exhibition Speed Dating 1.0 in 2018.
