Epidermis will be a performance event featuring a combination of live and online performance, reflecting on the way in which the world of performance has been altered and delineated by covid19.

You are invited to attend in person or online.

The provocation for this performance is:

-Blowing a tissue into the air and trying to keep it afloat for as long as possible.

-The dancing plague of 1518.

Ethan Morse (Aotearoa) will be performing in-the-flesh at the gallery, responding to international performance artists Shubho O Saha (Bangladesh) and David Sebastian Lopez Restrepo (Columbia/Denmark) who will be streaming their performances live via zoom. We will also be hosting a short Q&A led by Sara Cowdell after the performance with the artists about performance art, the live, the online and art in the time of a global pandemic.
