LIGHT-HAUS
Tyler Jackson
27/11/20 - 12/12/20
LIGHT-HAUS is an installation that looks to re-construct Herbert’s Bayers idea of the cinema, an idea that privileged the spatial-temporal location and arena of the film in its reception and value. LIGHT-HAUS plays with Bayers idea through a kinetic interpretation of the monolith, where ideas of performance, light and sound are reinterpreted to draw out cultural and formal ideas of the monolith. Alongside the light works of this show is an audio work by Jack Jenkins that immerses viewers within the work, referencing the audio visual qualities of film and the cinema more broadly.
