Hi Tjalling,

I've been thinking a lot about that house you live in.

I don't want to draw any attention to the negatives, but ah, you may have noticed that the sun makes for a lonely friend April through August.

Again, not wanting to dwell on the negatives, the ceilings are somewhat low in the kitchen and the doorway into the bathroom can sometimes get in the way of your head, ouch!

Do you know that Pia was nearly born on a sheet (on top of a tarpaulin) in front of that fireplace that doesn't work?

She wasn't though.

I've done every emotion in that house.

You'll need some light to get you through the winter.

So, you're going to make you a sun.

I've ordered some parts.

Because I couldn't figure out how to do another way this and I can't send you to the store.

You can borrow them for the winter.

Wire the lampholders up.

Please be safe, this is about Health and Safety after all.

It's lucky we're both Health and Safety representatives.

Here is where I leave it to your desire, but in case you need prompts:

1. You could stack as much furniture/ things as you can on each other. You're trying to get high. Please arrange the lamps on the 'tower'.

2. You could, and I mean, I would, hang a lamp in the middle of every doorway. Make sure it's in the way.

3.  Another thing I might be inclined to do it to plug all the cords into the multibox and scoop the whole thing up and put it in the middle of the lounge floor. Turn it on.

Is it Christmas? It feels like it.

Bathe in the glow.

xT

Kia ora Turumeke,

You are going to make an audio visual work that describes your space to me.

You make a sound recording of three even hand claps in each different 'space' in your lockdown space (all rooms (open plan might be two spaces), wardrobes if big enough to get in, ceiling cavity if possible, under house if possible, any outside shed or whatever, and yard)

These spaces are listed by the first colour you think of in relation to the sound of your hand claps at the time of making in each space.

The resulting 'work' will be a recording of edited together hand claps with a 'track listing' of room 'colours' that plays with each three clap sequence.
