Beyond Nearsightedness is the exploration of proximate and distal sound sources through a newly devised speaker setup for headphones and two speakers. This setup encourages the listener to listen beyond the traditional listening environment that is set up through headphones and challenges their perception of the space in which they are in.

Jesse Austin is a Wellington based sound artist who is currently exploring the relationship between a listener and their experience of spatial sound.
