Gitanjali Bhatt (b. 1999 UK) is a multi-disciplinary artist, based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Gitanjali creates site-responsive, experimental videos and sculptures to explore her surroundings. Challenging colonial, cinematic influences in how we view the world, her work seeks to welcome other, marginalised and absurdist ideas, to embrace and bring them into conversation.

Gitanjali completed her MFA in January 2022 at Whitecliffe. Recent exhibitions include Conversation Pieces (group crits and show) at Artspace Aotearoa (2021), and local migrant (with brunelle dias and Llenyd Price) at RM Gallery (2022).
